Inshore fishing whether in the backwaters of the Indian River Lagoon, St. Lucie River, Loxahatchee River or beyond offers plenty of exciting opportunities for the “hands on” angler. Casting artificial lures with light tackle around docks and mangroves and other structure offers plenty of challenges for experienced anglers. For the beginner who wants to start things out easy, spend less time tangled in the bushes and see more quantity than quality, fishing natural bait opens up more possibilities. Among the likely species we enjoy the pursuit of with either method are Tarpon, Snook, Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Tripletail, Bonefish and Pompano. Other players who are always willing to crash the party are Jacks, Ladyfish, Sharks, Barracuda, Bluefish, Sheepshead, and Croakers.

Coastal opportunities abound for the sight fishing adventurer along the Treasure Coast. Among our favorite pursuits along the beach are sight fishing to large Tarpon, Cobia, Jacks, and Sailfish. This is “one on one” hunting- as much as it is fishing and can be adrenaline charged. We also have a variety of nearshore Wrecks and Reef structures within easy reach that offer shots at full grown schooling Permit, Cobia, and Goliath Grouper among many others. Nearshore rock piles and jetties offer spawning aggregate Snook during the summer months as well. Spanish Mackerel and Bonitos are typically in abundance for the light tackle and fly enthusiast if fast action is a priority. Venturing outside of the inlet is weather sensitive during the winter season but really explodes during the warmer months.
